Gretchen Rhodes
Gretchen Rhodes is an American singer/songwriter who has made waves amongst the music industry. Her sound is a powerful blend of soulful blues and rock that captivates her audiences far and wide. While she may be trained in the classical tradition, Rhodes has found that her true passion is fronting rock and blues bands.
Rhodes has toured extensively with the founding member of Traffic, Dave Mason, and the founder of ‘the Blues Brothers’ and Rolling Stone’s 29th greatest guitar player of all time, Steve Cropper as well as performing often with rock icon Steven Tyler. She has also worked in many avenues of music with Kenny Chesney in his ‘Life on a Rock’ album and ‘Wild Child’ music video.
Additionally, Rhodes has fronted the Mick Fleetwood Band for the last fifteen years and continues to do so to this day.
Rhodes currently has a new single out called ‘Cupid’s Arrow” produced by Steve Cropper and recorded at the RCA studio in Nashville; she is continuing to do live shows with the Gretchen Rhodes Band. They are also in the process of releasing more records and writing more music and plan to release new music all throughout this current year and 2024.
She is currently collaborating closely with Kerry Brown, a multiplatinum record producer known for his work with artists such as The Smashing Pumpkins, Miley Cyrus, Ziggy Marley, Catherine Band, Cheap Trick, Courtney Love, and many others. Together, they are in the process of releasing a tribute to Peter Green, featuring the legendary Mick Fleetwood and friends. This tribute is expected to be released sometime in 2024.
The thing about Gretchen is that she had this voice that you could hear in a room. When she’d sing, people would turn around to see who it was... and she could keep folks there all night, just listening to her songs. I know: my friends and I used to go down to this beach bar a lot and listen to her play... to sit on a stool and play music because you love it, because you have songs to sing, that’s the mark of a music person. Gretchen has always had that! She is as good as they come, has a voice that’ll stop you – and no matter what happens, she’s going to be making music, because that’s who she is. > Kenny Chesney
